The Hytale team is thrilled to present the latest patch notes, bringing a whole new dimension to your gaming experience. Get ready for an immersive journey filled with exciting features and improvements.

Cosmetics & Customization:
- Personalize your avatar like never before! We've added a range of new customization options, including the Bandit Mask with a stylish Side Knot, a Blindfold with a Thick variant, and even a Bandage Blindfold with options for Left or Right Eye coverage. Express your unique style!
- Explore the fantasy cotton cosmetic colors, now including white. Create stunning looks that reflect your imagination.
- Visual upgrades for haircuts! From Single Side Pigtails to the Smart Elven cut, your character will look sharper than ever.
- Introducing new armor slot visibility toggles, accessible right from the character panel. Server hosts can control this feature for PvP and immersion purposes.
- Capes now flow gracefully when you're on the move, adding a touch of elegance to your adventures.

Gameplay & Balance:
- Raise your own skeletal minions! A new item allows you to summon these creatures from nearby bone piles, adding a strategic twist to your gameplay.
- The large Praetorian Skeleton has a chance to drop this powerful item, so keep an eye out!
- Mining gets a boost! Adamantite now requires a Thorium or Cobalt pickaxe, encouraging players to upgrade their tools.
- Mining progression has been adjusted, with lower-tier pickaxes dealing less damage to higher-tier ore blocks. Upgrade to a higher-quality pickaxe for a significant reduction in hits required.
- Polar Bears have been buffed, adding a new challenge to your encounters.
- The furniture bench offers more decorative light recipes, perfect for creating cozy atmospheres.
- NPC drops have been adjusted. Bison, Boar, Cow, Horse, and Warthog now drop Medium Hide instead of Light Hide, providing more resources for crafting.
- The Magma Toad has been rebalanced. Its tongue damage has been reduced, and it now alternates between its tongue attack and a new ability: Headbutt. A more strategic approach is needed!
- Petals are now craftable! Yellow Petals can be farmed from Sunflower Seeds, making them renewable. All crafting requirements for different colored Petals are now sustainable resources.
- Lighter variants of Cloth Blocks can be crafted using a combination of Petals, adding a new layer of customization to your builds.

World Generation:
- WorldGen V2 is here! We've prepared public documentation to assist modders in creating their own unique worlds. New DefaultFlat and DefaultVoid templates have been added using World Gen V2.
- The Creative Hub Portal now spawns with World Gen V2 flat worldgen, resulting in clear weather and limited fog. But beware, it only works in new creative worlds!
- Ore placement has been majorly refactored in all zones. Explore new chunks in old worlds to uncover these changes and discover more ores, especially in the Devastated Lands underground.

Farming:
- Eternal crops are now more resilient! They won't break from accidental weapon damage, ensuring your hard work pays off.
- Tilled soil lifetime has been increased, lasting between 1.2 to 1.5 days. No more rushing to replant!
- Soil decay under fully grown crops has been fixed, allowing for a more sustainable farming experience.
- Hold torches in your offhand while using the Hoe and Seeds, providing better visibility and safety.
- Breaking fully grown Eternal crops will drop their Seeds back, making it easier to replant.
- Harvested crops can now be placed on the ground when crouching, offering more flexibility in your farming techniques.
- Recipe requirement costs for Hoes have been adjusted, with Hoes now unlocking at different farming bench tiers. Copper is now Tier 2, Iron is Tier 4, and Thorium has been added at Tier 6.

UI / UX:
- Editor block tooltip descriptions have been improved, providing clearer information.
- Tooltips now display color names when hovering over color options in the Avatar Customization menu.
- The hotbar active-slot is now easier to see, thanks to increased contrast and a diamond indicator. No more missing your selected item!
- Memories categories are now sorted alphabetically when viewed via "The Heart Of Orbis", making it easier to navigate.
- Scripted Brush QoL improvements have been made, with missing entries added to filters and invalid blocks removed.
- Various bugs in existing scripted brushes have been fixed, and new decoration and cave brushes have been added.
- Redundant scripted brushes have been removed, streamlining your editing experience.
- The JumpIfBlockType node now uses a single offset instead of a list, simplifying its usage.
- Inventory interaction updates include better double-click handling, allowing you to click faster.
- Shift + Clicking on armor will now directly equip it if no armor is currently equipped in the respective slot, saving time and effort.
- QERT shortcut keybinds have been added for inventory "quick actions", making it easier to access put all, pull all, quickstack, and sort functions.
- Shortcuts now display in tooltips when hovering over "quick action" buttons, providing clear guidance.
- An "FPS counter overlay" option has been added to the settings menu, allowing you to monitor your game's performance.
- Player markers have been improved, now displaying on the compass and removing the "Player: " prefix from map markers.
- Player names will always render on the map, making it easier to keep track of your teammates.
- Toggle buttons for map/compass visibility have been added to the maps player list, giving you control over your navigation.

- A server auto-update system has been introduced, including configuration options and new commands for update management. The server can now check for and apply updates, notify players, and handle staged updates seamlessly.
- A new UpdateModule core plugin has been integrated into the server boot process, allowing for efficient update management.
- UpdateConfig in HytaleServerConfig has been introduced, with fields for enabling updates, check intervals, notification preferences, patchline selection, backup options, and auto-apply modes. Includes serialization support and getter/setter methods.
- A new shutdown reason, ShutdownReason.UPDATE, has been added to indicate when the server should restart to apply a staged update.
- New/updated commands and detailed server messages have been implemented for checking, downloading, applying, and managing updates, with player notifications and auto-apply warnings.
- The release workflow has been updated to include launcher scripts (start.sh, start.bat) for a smoother launch experience.
- Rendering shadows have been improved, fixing various visual issues.
- Middle click "pick block" in creative mode has been fixed. Now, when the hotbar is full, middle-clicking a block will replace the current slot with the newly picked item.

- Refilling containers now targets the closest block of water, eliminating the need to aim at blocks behind/under water.
